Our Industry Has Faced Threats Before - But Nothing Like What’s Coming Now

For broader statewide and national political-regulatory threats, you rely on your association to fight on your behalf. And we’ve been doing that since we were founded in 1950 as the Connecticut Petroleum Association.
And looking back over the years at the “balance sheet” of CEMA’s successes, your trust in us has been well justified. But now we’re asking you to trust us again when we say there’s a new threat different from any we’ve faced before, and that we will need a new level of support from our members.

2024 Legislative Success!
During the regular session of the CT General Assembly that ended on May 8, every environmental and energy bill injurious to our members failed to pass, and CEMA, thanks to the generous contributions of our members, either had a hand in defeating every bill or was the leader in defeating them. These bills included:

Banning the Sale of Diesel Trucks and Gasoline Powered Cars/EV Mandate
